Description

Usually packed in bags but can be compressed into bales.

May be subject to caking caused by pressure which may be claimed by consignees as moisture damage. Since feed manufacturers process these materials through hammer mills caking is not important, unless definite moisture stains appear on the bags. Subject to loss in weight due to drying out. Ferments and rapidly deteriorates after wetting and is also susceptible to red beetle infestation.
